New SBI! transition template to boost Google rankings?

Recently, SiteSell releases about 100 Sparkling New Templates or also referred to as the new SBI! Transition Template.

What's the "transition template"?

It's the HTML template that Site Build It! gives you so that you can duplicate your SiteBuilder Look & Feel. You pick up with HTML where you left off with the block-by-block building approach! It also has a more advanced version of HTML.

This is absolutely welcoming as I also personally felt constrained after a while by the block-by-block building approach of SiteBuilder, SBI! web page creation module - see my previous post here.

Some of the tags for own-uploading to SBI! have now been changed (e.g., <<.navbar.>> was used as a tag for the left navigation bar, but changed to ***NAVBAR***). The change is apparently minor. The "old" tags will still work and can still be used even for new pages, if prefer.

However, the new ones are said to be more compatible with all HTML editors, including new WYSIWYG editors.

In any case, Ken Evoy recommended SBIers (especially those who are using one previously provided by SBI!) to switch to the "transition template".

I guess there's more to this than meets the eye.

Although there's no evidence that Google penalizes the older version of HTML, I (like some SBIers) feel that Google has not been favorably indexing the pages of my SBI! site.

Last check, my ranking report at SBI! Search Engine Headquarter shows that almost all of my pages are ranked outside of the Top 30 at Google as compared to lots of Top 10s for Yahoo!, MSN and Ask. It also seems an eternity for Google to index my web pages.

Well, I only hope that the new "transition template" and whatever little "HTML adjustment" SiteSell makes will improve those web pages of mine build previously via SiteBuilder and/or uploaded myself, and give my rankings a boost at the Google.

Just have to wait and see if this is a false hope...

Busy week ahead but...

It has been a busy week so far and next week will be even more busier I reckon.

How I wish it will be a busy week for Site Build It!

Alas, it's going to be not only a busy week but also a stressful one for me as far as my day perofession is concerned (no more day-only job as it has eaten into the night).

Already this week, my blood pressure had risen according my to doctor, and catching a terrible flu only worsen my condition.

I hope to be able to restart building my SBI! site, as well as not forgetting my long neglected non-SBI! site.

The positive thing is that both websites continue to churn in some income despite being left alone for quite some time.

That I can't complaint :)

Let me challenge you

I'm sure you like a challenge, right?

Well, go find a track record of success anywhere near that of Site Build It!.

No other small business Web hosting platform in the world addresses success rates! And the way they spend money, they WOULD if they COULD. For example...

Buy last month's WIRED magazine and take a look at 1&1.com's 14-page ad (yes, 14). Not a word about success. The whole thing amounts to "quick-cheap-easy." It's like throwing someone a pile of pickup sticks and saying, "go to it."

Ever see GoDaddy's SuperBowl ads? The girl is cute, but I'm not sure what she has to do with succeeding online.

Now, check out the Ultimate Proof of Success.

Additionally, go to smallbusiness.yahoo.com (or any other Web hosting platform you may be considering). You MIGHT find a testimonial or two, even one or two poor case studies (that don't even score well at Alexa!).

But no company in the world documents success like SBI! does.

Take a look at real RESULTS again, where majority of SBI! owners are in the Top 1% of Alexa ranking.

My SBI! journey on-hold...

What a disappointment...

My notebook is still being serviced after two weeks.

Not sure what's really wrong but it looks serious given the time taken. This is the longest I've been without my old trusted notebook (where all of my files and info reside - the PC I'm using now to blog is only a temporary solution).

I'm contemplating getting a new PC very soon and currently looking at the specs.

This sux as my SBI! journey is on-hold, or almost...,

The only thing I can really do is to add more Adsense ads to more pages of my SBI! site. It should at least brings in more income for the time being.

Derek Gehl coming to Malaysia in Sept, what about Ken Evoy?

Derek Gehl, the CEO of the infamous Internet Marketing Center (started by the late great Corey Rudl), will be organising the Ultimate Internet Entrepreneur Bootcamp in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on September 15th to 17th, 2006! (Singapore, a week later).

Derek Gehl said that he'll be stepping out from "behind the curtain" to reveal how he became Corey's #1 Protégé -- with no formal marketing training.

It brings back memory to 6 years ago when Corey Rudl was in Kuala Lumpur, as a special guest speaker at a seminar titled "Making Millions thru the Internet" (click here to check out my outdated page on this).

At that time, I couldn't afford to attend the seminar as I was really broke. Besides the seminar fee, I would have to folk out additional cost for the return airfare, hotels, transports, etc.

Today, even though I may be able to come up with US$897 (the fee for the 2.5-day Bootcamp) plus the extra cost - since besides being financially much better off than in 2000, the currency exchange is more favorable for the Malaysian Ringgit, and airfare is extremely cheaper with AirAsia, the low-price national carrier.

The only problem is that my schedule is pretty tight in September, and for health reason, I don't think I have the energy to travel 2.5 hours by air to KL and get acclimatized in the hustle bustle of city life. And the pollution in KL..., it is utterly terrible.

Excuses..., excuses..., but maybe if Dr. Ken Evoy comes to Malaysia, I might have less excuses?

Coz I can get medical consultation from him after his talk? Ha! I'm only kidding.

Hemmm..., how great it would be if Ken Evoy, Derek Gehl or other Internet Marketing stars can give a talk for a change in Borneo - Kota Kinabalu, Sabah to be more precise.

No demand?

Maybe..., but they can always give something back to the environment.

I just hope Ken Evoy or his staff is reading this.

Care to consider my proposal, Ken? Treat it more like a holiday than a business trip. The big players are in KL, the small players in Borneo, and SiteSell is afterall, for the small people, right?

I will even risk my *health* to take up the challenge to organise everything for you, if you want.

Slurp - Yahoo! Newest Search Crawler

According to Yahoo! Search Blog, they had just "launched a new Yahoo! Search Crawler, Yahoo! Slurp earlier this week. In addition to crawling the Internet faster, our new crawler is more efficient at visiting websites. As a result, site owners will notice as much as a 25% reduction in the number of requests and bandwidth consumed by the crawler. [...]

With this change of behavior in the crawler, you may see some shuffling of the pages that are included in the index and some changes in ranking as well."
