Six Reasons NOT To Try To Be An Online Retailer
Just when I was
finding it hard to cope with my online business, I came across this article by Greg Howlett talking about
6 reasons NOT to try to be an online retailer.
Greg said:
"
The gold rush is over, and if you are someone without much money or business experience that thinks you can build a reasonably profitable ecommerce site, you are fooling yourself."
After reading the article, I tend to agree with Greg somewhat.
Although I must say that
Site Build It! can offer some of the solutions to the 6 problems mentioned, one reason which Greg did not mentioned is that "it is more time-consuming to compete in the world wide web today than in the past".
What do you think?

"Web 2.0 for small business sites" launches!
One of SBI!'s many module was just launched yesterday. It's call Content 2.0 (C2).
It is said to be like a combination of Wikipedia, MySpace and flickr, except users cannot continuously overwrite each other's content, they don't create "Profiles" and gossip, and they do much more than just upload photos.
Visitors will have the ability to create valuable content for me, quality-controlled by me!
Ken Evoy said that "take the best of Web 2.0, eliminate the worst, and you have Content 2.0".
Content 2.0 (C2) is "Web 2.0 for small business sites."
Well, I'm going off to read the C2 Guide, which contains the knowledge, tips, and strategies accumulated by all the beta-testers during weeks and weeks of testing.
Will post more on this later.
